Why I like coaching
Coaching can help athletes properly understand both the basics and goals of any sport, while also guiding the growth of the players' character/self-esteem. To be a coach is also a great opportunity to grow as an athlete by leading the development of other athletes. Most of all, coaches make it easier for parents to be more directly involved in their child’s development.

Coach Claudia
Claudia Hammond played collegiate soccer at Johns Hopkins University and ran collegiately at University of Miami and University of South Carolina.  She has been coaching youth soccer locally in DC for nearly two years. She graduated from the University of Miami in 2018 with a degree in International Studies. A native of Dallas, Texas, she played competitively for numerous club for over ten years, including Dallas Texans ECNL and Solar ECNL. In 2015, she graduated from the Hockaday School, where she was the captain of the varsity team for two years and received all-state and all-regional honors.
